Water spilling outside the Freezer side by side model and a block of ice build-up on inside floor. What do you beleive could be the problem?

Check for a clogged or frozen drain tube. You'll probably have to remove the inner panel to expose the evaporator coil area to do this. Pour hot water through the drain to clear it. If this doesn't work, gently probe the tube with a stiff wire.
If it's frozen, this may be an indication that there is a defrost problem.
