My amana refrigerator's control panel is blinking continiously, and the ice dispensing flap is opening and closing non-stop. I believe my wife may have emptied the ice maker by dispensing all of it through the front door. I've tried killing the power to it, in the hope of resetting it, but the problem continues. I'd appreciate any suggestions on what I could do to fix it. Thanks

There is a nation wide recall on the main power supply board, it should be covered parts and labor, call whirlpool to see if your model and serial number fall in the recall, (it will also stop cooling shortly , since the freezer fan is blowing air into the fresh food compartment).
