ice maker stopped working
Model Number: CTX16CIBBRWW Brand: Hotpoint Age: 5 - 10 years
My ice-maker in the freezer doesn't dispense cubes. It appears that the motor moving the ejector and various switches in the housing work fine (when "fiddled with" manually), but after the water fills and it is frozen, the motor does not seem to start. I am thinking it might be the thermostat, but am unsure if perhaps the temperature inside the freezer could be just a bit high. Do you know what the temperature should be for the termostat to enable the motor? Thank you.
