Hi all.
About 4 months ago my 6 year old side by side stopped running. Called out a pro and he replaced the capacitor and told me the reason it went was because the compressor was going. Paid a lot for the refer but the price he quoted to replace the compressor was nearly the same as the original price. Well here we are again. Fridge has stopped. I have replace with a new one but have not let the old one go. Have a nagging feeling that it may not be the compressor. Maybe its my 20 year old Kenmore in the garage that has never had a single issue???? Any thoughts?? Should I just keep replacing the capacitor or could there be another cause???
