Model Number: FRS23KF7AQ5 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
My ice maker has stopped working. It started when my refrigerator had stopped working because it tripped a electrical fuse. Reset the fuse at the box and the fridge/freezer and water dispenser worked fine, but I can't get the ice maker to restart. I took it apart and melted the ice to make sure it wasn't jammed. When putting it back together and plugging it back in, I did receive a small electric shock(current). Now it seems to be dead and will not do anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry but I'm only posting this because I had the exact same thing happen. Frigidaire was out one morning - thought it was the light but the circuit breaker was tripped for the whole unit. I reset it twice before it stayed and did not trip again. Ice maker doesn't work at all now but I get water that is not chilled anymore from the door dispenser. My model # is FRS262NHW3 and it's about 7+ years old. I'm going to take apart the ice maker tonight to see what's up with it. I read some tips on Acmehowto.com. Please let me know if you found out anything and I will let you know. One other thing is that the two valves on the back seem to be working. One I tested with an ohm meter (the dual valve) and the water valve open and leaked water when the water dispenser switch was pressed so I think that one's okay too.
