I have a Kenmore Elite side-by-side refrigerator with icemaker and water dispenser. Recently the water dispenser started leaking slowly and has gotten worse. I believe the water inlet valve has gone bad and needs replacing, am I right? The valve appears to have two solenoids, one for the water dispenser and one for the ice maker. Please let me know if replacing the inlet valve will solve the problem!
Thanks!

so you agree that replacing the inlet valve will stop the dispenser from leaking? Does the solenoid going bad cause the leak?

yes , the solonoid valve normally remain shut unless energised. it appears there is a leak in valve or solonoid not completly closing

I am working on a CT18GMXRQ01 REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER and I am still experiencing water beading up in the refrigerator top section. The drain in the freezer compartment I know is open after I remove some ice over the evaporator drain and I can pour a generous portion of water down the drain and it flows properly down to the evaporator condensate pan. Is this possibly the defrost timer not going through a proper defrost cycle or evaporator fan not blowing enough air into the refrigerator section?
