can anyone please tell me how to remover the cover from this beast? I need to order replacement parts - but can't determine what/which until I can get the cover off. Thnx!

There is a "silver" band that goes around the mixer head held on by one screw in the back. Remove that band. When you do it exposes the screws that hold on the head cover exposing the motor, speed control board and gear box.
