Hello all,

Have a 2 year old Kenmore fridge that has presented me with it's first problem. Been changing it's filter every 6 month as called for and has had no previous issus. 6 months up and time to again and the old one pops out w/o any resistance and the one I bought from Sears (part #9915) seems to be "sticking" when installing. By sticking I mean it will go in as normal, but it will not turn the 1/4ish way to the right and get lock into place. When I try to get the "sticking" one out there is resistance and I have to turn on the water to cause pressure and it comes out but the flanges on the plastic are slightly scarred on the filter. Original one looks fine but now will not go back in and acts like the replacement when trying to install. Inside the "female" part of the fridge there is no broken chunks and I cannot see any broken plastic (not a heavy handed mechanic) inside there. The way they installed that part to hold the filter sure is wonky since it sure a bear to gain access to replacing it. Help and thanks, Chad
