Hello to all,

My soon to be 2 year old Kenmore fridge takes a filter part #9915 and has a c sticker on the end of it. I have had no problem in swapping out the filrters and have done so every 6 months since I bought it. Well this time I ran into a issue that I need help on. Bought a new one and when I took the old one out it seemed to pop out with no resistance. The new one has the same part number but a v-c sticker on the end and will not insert all the way. I can get it in, but it will not twist and it is difficult to take out. The small flanges on the new one are slightly scarred at the tip when I do get it out by turning on the water and the pressure forces out the filter. Sears inside rep says buy a new filter so I did and the problem still remains. Boy that part is sure in there and seems like a crappy design for replacing the "female" filter holder. Old part had no proken parts on it and in the holder there looks to be no broken area. Ideas!?
