A repair technician replaced my defrost timer and my defrost thermostat. After he left my refrigerator would get warm and I would have to play with the cold control thermostat to get it cold again. I replaced the cold control thermostat on my own and it seemed to work fine. It has been about a month and yesterday we noticed our water had some ice in it and a few strawberries were frozen. When I replaced the cold contol thermost I noticed he had relaced the defrost timer with a GE brand timer. one of the electrical leads in the defrost timer compartment was attached to nothing. It appeared as if he had altered the GE timer. My cold control thermostat is set on #2 I had always kept it on#3. Could the installation of an incorrect defrost timer cause this problem. I'm ashamed to tell you how much they charged me for the shody repair. Thank you for your help.
