To replace compressor start devices, go to my article in the General Talk section Pg. 4 You can also crunch into the general talk search box "replacing compressor start devices" to get the article.

You mention your article int he General Talk section, but I cannot for the life of me find anything labled as "General Talk" . Any chance you can provide a link or more detail. I am trying to figure out how to remove a start device. I don't see any screws and am nervous about the term "pry" that has been used to describe the removal, so was just looking for more detail on how its done to see if it rattles.

Guess I should have thought about that. Model is KSRA25ILSS13, Kitchenaid Superba. I finally realized that it just plugs into the compressor and got it off (rattles like a caracha, so you called it). Sounds like the replacement part is a different than the OEM and think I may have to cut the wiring harness and install female connectors to get it to work. I just ordered the part and hopefully the directions are easy to follow. If you have any experience or tips on replaceing the OEM iwth the new one, that would be awsome. The compressor is an EY90 type, if that matter
