Refrigerator & Freezer Repair

Hello There is a flap door which opens to let the ice drop out and then the flap door closes to keep the cold inside. My door does noy open wide enough to allow the ice to drop out and then it will not close. Anyone have a clue? Thanks, Bill

Bill, you will need to replace the flapper door and solenoid. You can order this from a local appliance store. I had to replace one on a customers fridge a few weeks ago. Just pay attention to the directions enclosed with the new kit. Click on your model number in your post and it should show you a diagram of what you need to fix your problem and the parts you need.
