Default Kitchenaid Fridge
Model Number: KSRS25IKSS01   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 5 - 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

I have a leak from bottom of Refridge. The drain pan is overflowing. The Freezer is working fine , food frozen and ice frozen. This model has the water filter housing located over the drain pan. Is it possible for housing or lines to go bad causing leak. I doesnt appear that the filter is loose or leaking.
I am now in the process of checking to see if leak is gone with water disconnected from fridge.
The freezer drain tube appears dry and so does the metal pan inside freezer that drain tube feeds.

Remove the water filter and check for a water leak from the filter housing and/or the tubes connected to the housing. Post the results.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Cabinet, literature replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KSRS25IKSS01 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Hi Gene, Thanks for response. I removed the filter housing prior to your post. I applied air pressure 15 # to the hoses and housing. I see a slight leak at the smaller hose where it goes into the housing.(at the press in fitting). I blew out all water from the water dispenser and ice maker to check the rest of the fridge. I ran fridge 24 hours, I see a smalll amount of water enter pan then evaporate. This i believe is the auto defrost working correctly.
As long as I get no more water on floor today I will order a new housing and lines. I used live chat to find the water tubes as they are not shown in the diagram. One of the lines matches the other doesnt look right. I will call the phone help prior to ordering to make sure I get the correct lines.
I will post the final results.
Kenny

Default Final Update

I bought the Houseing, and the two water supply lines and installed them last night. so far no leaks
The main problem I had was the original water feed line has been discontinued and replced with a longer hose that goes from the filter to the outside water connecting into the fridge. The original part went to a connector (looks like a water solenoid without the elect hookup) on back of fridge. The part came with instructions to remove this part and discard. It also came with new water connect instruction sheet to put on back of fridge.
Now I will find a way to make a rear lower panel,(the cardboard with insulation). mine got very water damaged. I cannot afford to spend almost 70.00 for a piece of cardboard.
The part #'s I used are:
housing 2186443
tube water 2255153
tube water 8201597 (replacement)

Kenny,

Thank you for the feed back.

There is nothing special about the rear cover. You can make it from any cardboard as long as it makes the air to flow in the right direction to cool down the compressor and the condenser.
