Refrigerator & Freezer Repair

Have deforst problem on side by side frigid / freezer. Checked deforst thermosat and is ok, heater measures correct resistance. Not able trigger deforst cycle mannually when triggering light switch 5 times in 6 seconds. Where is the deforst cycle timer located? With digital controls? Is there any adjustments or if it will not trigger does it mean it is cooked? Any other tests?

Looks like your unit uses Genesis controls. This control info starts on page 30.
Forcing a defrost uses the diagnostics.
