Model Number: ts22afxkq05 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Another ice maker not working. what componets make up the ice maker? the water valve, motor/module,and thermostat, and is there anything else? the problem is no water to ice maker, water in door works fine. i disconnecter power from fridge and removed module on front of maker, just to see whats in there, and when all was together and power back on it dumped out what cubes were in there and thats about it. i filled it up manually with water and wating to see what happens. any help would be wonderful. thanks in advane.

not to sound dumb, but are we on the same model? with the cover off i see the white gear with red letters that say do not rotate by hand. but the only thing in the center is what looks like the two little squeeze tabs that hold the gear to the module. ???

yes, there should be three tabs in the grear. If there are only two that's why your icemaker isn't working. You can replace the module they are around $90 or the whole icemaker is about $100.
