Brand: Whirlpool   Age: More than 10 years   

I have a Whirlpool Refreg we had a power surge and my refrig quit working what is the first thing I should look for?

Check for voltage to the compressor if everything else works like freezer fan. If voltage there, check the start relay plugged into the side of the compressor. If fans don't work, check cold control,defrost timer, adaptive defrost. Need model # for specifics.
