Both sides stopped cooling within 2 days. Is there a defrost timer in this model?

No, your unit has a control board, located on the back. part numberAP3950129. but if you have frost or ice in the freezer -
I would remove the rear panel in the freezer to check for ice and look for the defrost element and the thermostat first (cheaper parts and you're probably going to have to defrost it anyway.

If the freezer coils are completely frosted over, you will need to unplug unit and fully defrost the coils with a hair dryer. If you have a meter, before defrosting, check the defrost thermostat for continuity while it is still cold.
If only partially frosted, you should call a pro to check refrigeration.
