Water inlet line is not 1/4 compression?
Model Number: ed5kvexvb Brand: Whirlpool Age: Less than 1 year
Hi everone
I purchased a whirlpool frig from a US military base in japan. Went out bought everything to hook up the waterline, 1/4 copper 1/4 compression fitting ect. Went to hook it up and to my dismay the line coming from the frig was much smaller then a 1/4. The fitting molded on to the plastic line was much smaller then a 1/4 also. Went back to the store to try to compair the fitting size with everything they had 1/8 1/4 8mm. Nothing called whirlpool and they had no clue what size it was. Called a whirlpool repairmen. He said it may be something in mm because it was made for export. 6mm doesnt really exist, 4mm is smaller then an 1/8. so best we can figure it is either, 3/16 or 6mm both are very add sizes and hard to find anything for.
