Whirlpool refrigerator

Model Number: ET8MTKXKQ00 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years

I am having trouble keeping my refig/freez running. It might be the thermostat. It will come back on if your turn the temp control knob up or down. Any ideas?
