hi everyone

got a samsung fridge/freezer, couple of years old (will get the model number tomorrow)

the fridge has decided to pack up all of a sudden, display on, internal light on, but no refrigeration, its warm inside it!

can anyone shed any light on whats causing it? and will it be likley that i will be able to repair it myself with little knowledge of fridge/freezers?

cheers guys

hi

thanks for the reply, sorry to take so long to get back to you been working away.

right i have manged to find the model number after muchos searching (fridge nor instruction manual had it on!)

its a RL36EBNS

ah PCB could be at fault? bugger bet that will be expensive and not worth repairing.

could it not be something simple like the thermostat?

cheers

Try to test the start device by the compressor.

Look in the back of the freezer compartment and see if you see any ice or frost build up. If not then by the compressor there should be some electricals(start device, relay & possibly a capacitor) one or more which may be out. You can check them for continuity(view thread on this site for proceedure) and replace the one that's bad.
Hope that helps.
