Second icemaker in stainless frig that was stuck in defrost mode. Replaced and gave 4oz water per instructions. After ice ejected no refill, tried again, same result. Any ideas? Thanks

Test your water valve.
If possible inside the unit is a tag with complete model number

Switch the leads to the valve then push the water diespenser on the front and look to see if you are getting water to the icemaker.
let me know what happens.

I thought the valve was at the bottom/back but there are no leads to the plastic piece where the water supply enters. Where's the valve?

The valve is on the back near the bottom, take a look at it there are a couple of wires that connect to it.

That is because the ice maker was calling for water at that moment. I think your fill tube is frozen. Switch the leads back and try to defrost the fill tube.

Try to pull the fill tube from the back of the machine (it may be screwed down) and thaw the tube out with a hair dryer or steamer.
Also look inside your refrigerator side and get the complete model number makes it much easier to assist you.
