The icemaker in our side-by-side fridge/freezer has periodically "clicked" ever since it was originally purchased. Sounds of slipping gear teeth, or stop-gear not catching properly. Since it has happened since day-one, we accepted it as normal, but now wonder if that is the case. The interval is becomming more frequent and the sound is getting louder. When it is happening, you can feel the "thump" on the face/cover of the icemaker. It still makes ice and will stop when the silver bar is lifted over the tray.

Is this normal? Was it not installed correctly to begin with? Do I need to replace a gear, or catch, or something?
