Default GE Profile Ice cube size
Model Number: PSS25MGMB WW   Brand: GE   Age: 5 - 10 years

Ice has always been difficult to dispense from this fridge. The auger spins and pushes ice, but when it gets the cubes to the front they shoot out like the fridge is possessed!

The ice cubes seem quite large which may be the problem.
Is there a way to reduce the amount of water that flows into the ice cube trays? Or is there a different solution to help the ice dispense without scaring everyone in the house?

-Kurt

Hi Kurt,

There are no adjustments possible on this ice maker. It could happen if incoming water is too cold or in case of failure of the ice maker control board and/or thermostat. The ice maker is not repairable and has to be replaced.

- The part number for the new ice maker is AP4345120

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE refrigerator Model PSS25MGMBWW

Gene.
