Bought a brand new GE Profile refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom ice maker in the door. Ice maker barely produced ice from day one. They came out and replaced a part on it within the first 3 months I had it and told me it doesn't produce much ice or push much out when it does. So I dwelt with it.

It never kept up with two people and was useless when the family came over to eat. Then after a year and 10 months the ice maker just quit producing ice all together. After 4 weeks of no ice and having to go to the corner to buy ice every weekend I went and bought a used stand alone ice maker. We pulled the refrigerator out and unplugged the water lines. It stayed undone for about 24 hours while we went and bought what we needed to split the water line and add the ice maker to the water line. Hooked both back up because I still wanted to be able to use the water in the door and suddenly after 4 solid weeks of no ice I wake up to check on my new ice machine which is fabulously producing ice and now my refrigerator is also producing ice. The tray is half full of ice after not producing a single cube for 4 weeks it's not freaking out and producing ice.

GE Profile definitely has issues with this ice maker and they need to address it!
