This chest freezer beeps. Sounds like a temp alarm, but it is cold, as it should be. If you "play" with the temp control, in some positions, it beeps constantly, in others, occasionally. Outside humidity seems to have an effect, whereby it beeps more, when the weather is humid. My thought is to replace the temp control. The Temp alarm light on the control panel is not lit, and when you push the alarm off button, it does not stop the beeping. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Keep a thermometer in the freezer and post the temperature.

The temp is zero. Everything is frozen and the temp does not seem to be a problem.

It does seem like a bad control.
