Oue GE side by side fridge had a broken single heater (all black and burnout when we looked at it). We ordered and received our new dual element heater and installed it. For now we tried to reroute the blue wire (which was on the left) to the right but it was a bit short, so it is running across rather than down the side of the coils. We are unsure of how to use the bell connector. After googling, what tool do I need to crimp it or are pliers just fine? My husband thought about just soldering the wire together and then putting them in the bell connector but it was very late and got tired and left it the way it is for tonight to revisit again tomorrow night.

Any help on how to put this bell connector in or what wire nuts are would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
