I need a new condenser motor. Kenmore M# 106.71194101. DOM: 07-2002. S# EM2943806.

By entering the Model number on AppliancePartsPros.com, I am directed to the following part:

This part (above) looks substantially different the the motor in the unit that has gone bad in that the replacement part has wires coming out of it in one photo, so I asked via LIVE Chat. The Chat person directed me to the following part as an OEM part found on ReplairClinic.com:

Part 1378525 $87.25I

This part also looks different than the part that has gone bad in that the fan looks larger and the original fan housing has a bracket around the blade. I wonder if it will fit?.

Additionally the first replacement motor is $28 and the OEM is $78.

What do I get? I am not afraid to do splicing. The original has a red, white and green wiregoing into it.

If your original motor requres 115 volts and the new, cheeper one will mont in there, then I would use it. It is a more rugged motor drawing a little more current, but you will save a lot initially.
