When you use the "on the door" water dispenser it simutaniously fills the ice maker. The ice maker works correctly (fills and dumps) and only over fills when you press the on the door water dispenser. I replaced the water valve thinking I had a valve that was stuck open. Any thoughts?

Do NOT switch the solenoid wires, bad advice. You probably have a dispenser board that's bad. You will need a meter or service tech to determine which board is bad.
