about every two or three weeks water stands in the bottom inside my refrigerator under the crisper drawers. It just started this about 3 months ago, my frige does not have an ice maker or water dispenser. What is wrong and how can I fix it

I cannot confirm that the following applies but it should be close. http://frigidaireservicetips.com/pdfs/494_1.pdfSounds like the tube that carries the water from defrost down to the drip tray under the unit is plugged and it is dripping into the fresh food section. Many units drain into a funnel like device at the top back of the fresh food section.. Check that it is not plugged by dust etc. at the drip tray end. Can often be cleared with compressed air or a turkey baster with some warm water of a flexible wire. It is a good idea to flush it with a 10 percent bleach solution once it is cleared. This kills any crud growing in the tubing, A turkey baster is handy for this. Just be careful to not overflow the drip tray. |
