Our GE side by side has been making a whining noise for over a year now. Seems to be cooling okay but the noise is becoming more frequent and lasting longer. We are worried the fridge is going to quit. Anyone else had this noise and what was the diagnosis/fix?

Have you figure out where this noise is coming from? Is it coming from the freezer or from the back of the refrigerator?
