installed relay and now the only thing i get is interior lights. even the fan was coming on when the old relay was in but freezer and frige were warm. advised to cut blue and white from original connector and install new connectors to fit relay

If you installed the factory specified start device, it comes with two male spade terminals. One refrigerator wire goes to the overload device, the other to the run pin on the device. Both device terminals get wired in palellel with the run capacitor and condensing fan. Hope this helps.

Yes his right the overload is for protection of compressor.

We are talking about the start device, not the overload klixon.
