12 year out unit. No failures/repairs to this point.

Water dispenses properly through the door, but ice does not. First symptom was occasional failure of cubed ice to dispense. Wiggling the selector switch back and forth to cubed ice could make it activate. Then cubed ice failed completly. Then days/weeks later crushed ice failed as well. Now only water works.

Investigation reveals the solenoid in the ice maker that moves the cubed/crushed ice deflector still activates. Just the motor that turns the auger/dispenser doesn't function in either crushed or cubed mode.

Since unit dispensed crushed ice after the cubed ice dispensing failed, this would seem to rule out a motor failure, so is this a selector switch/control panel failure?
