Water is accumulating under the vegetable pans of my fridge and I have been told that I need a specialist to come fix it. I am trying to avoid that so does someone know where the tube is located and how to do it and/or give me their insights on the problem? If I have no other choice than to call a service specialist I may consider buying a new fridge as mine is more than 5 years old and since you never know how much you are going to be charged for the repair (could be in the $200 range)it might be more advantageous to just buy a new one.

Your drain is located behind the freezer wall and below the evaperator. Remove the back wall of the freezer, and locate the drain directly below the center of evaperator, get some real hot water and a turkey baster and start flushing the hot water down the drain, it may take a while, but will free up.... Just an FYI, the nation average per service call is $230, of coarse it can be less and can be more. To clear a drain like this, I charge $160.....Hope this helps

I never got to fix the problem although "abadfish66" tried to help--seemed a little to difficult for me to do-- but instead just manually drained the water which was accumulating under the vegetable pans of my fridge once a week. To my great surprise, there is no more problem--not one drop of water now! Could it be the weather change? It is the weirdest thing. Initially, I noticed this during the summer. I sure am glad I didn't toss out the fridge and buy a new one. However, I would like to understand why this happened and is not happening any longer. Are you out there, abadfish66?

I'm here It is possible that the gunk that was clogging the drain freed it's way through.

Believe it or not, my fridge has been acting perfectly for the past 2 years but now the water is accumulating AGAIN under the vegetable bins!! Please give me more details if you can.
