I have been having problems with this unit for 2 months now. First, the freezer stopped cooling. The temperature went up to the 40s and 50s. The fridge kept working though. The technician, from Sears, changed the freezer temperature sensor, and it seemed to fix the problem. However, 1 month later, both the freezer and the fridge stopped cooling. The unit was constantly running, but both temperatures went to 73. This time the technician replaced the control board. This fixed the problem, I think. The thing is, a day after the board was replaced the freezer went from 0 to 22 degrees in less than an hour. The technician came back out, and said that was normal operation for GE refrigerators.
Can anyone confirm this? At the moment, we don't trust it enough to put anything in it.
Thank you Wendell

Seems like he replaced the motherboard in back AP4436216. He probably failed to check out the rest of the system. You could have any number of things going bad, evaporator fan motor, condensing motor, thermisters, etc. Try to find out what is running/not running when it fails, then post.
