Here your parts includes a wiring diagram Replacement parts for MAYTAG MSD2756GEW Ref - SXS/I&W | AppliancePartsPros.comHere is a service manual http://www.servicematters.com/maytag_library/docs/16010154.pdfheater element 220k not sure about thermostat If you checked just across the heating element, this is way too high. Should be around 20 ohms. If you checked across the heater and the defrost thermostat then this is probably normal. Also did you disconnect one side of the device you were measuring. This prevents reading an alternate/parallel circuit path. If the defrost thermostat and the heater check out OK then odds are you need an adaptive defrost board. You could force a defrost (see the manual) if the heater comes on then the board is shot. Be careful that you do not burn your fingers. If it does not come on still could be the board but you have to check the heater and defrost thermostat just in case it is one of them. |
