Hi! So I have this Kenmore Laundry center (stacked washer dryer unit) which has recently been having some issues. For a little while the dryer would struggle to turn at first but then run normally, then, inexplicably that problem went away and was replaced by a loud squeaking which a day later turned into a screeching screaming noise.. I took it apart, cleaned it pretty thoroughly on the inside, replaced the idler pulley/arm and the rollers. I lubed every spinning part I could think of and checked all the seals for anything stuck that could be grinding. Still the issue persists. Wondering if anyone has any advice for some next steps to check out. I’ll provide a link below to a video I made of the sound in action (didn’t catch it doing the full piercing screech because that usually takes a knitter to kick in) as well as some pics I took along the way taking it apart. Any help would be supremely appreciated. Thanks!

Did you change the belt? It kinda sounds like the motor bearings.

Not yet. The one I bought was the wrong size. I ordered a new one along with anew blower fan which someone suggested it could be. If it is the motor bearing does that require replacing the whole motor or is that something repairable?

Unfortunately, the whole motor. No serviceable parts.
