Please Help! My dryer's drum snags and twists clothes at the front top edge. The drum is tilting downward so it is nearly rubbing at the top front edge of the door frame assembly but there is not so tight at the bottom. It appears that as the drum rotates clothes get snagged and pulled up to a notch in the framework and then get caught there and twisted to the point of getting ruined. What parts or adjustments are likely needed to get the drum to turn on a level plane so it will not pinch at the top?

The front of the drum is usually held in position with guides or slippers blocks that keep it from doing what you describe. It will be necessary to take this unit apart from the front end , remove the drum, and check to see if the sliders or guides are worn out or missing. Replacement is usually not too bad on Maytags.
Check for other worn parts when you have it apart also.
