No water to ice maker.
Poured 4oz of water into the ice hopper and ice is made.
Purchased new and replaced water inlet valve - still no water to ice maker. Tube from inlet valve to freezer is clear as I can blow air from my breath through the tube.
Purchased new and replaced water filter assembly and that now filtered water works a treat. Sadly still no water to the ice maker.
Prior to and currently the changing out of the water filter assembly and water inlet valve, water was, and still is leaking under the refrigerator ... if I was a betting man I'd say it is coming from the over flow tube that appears connected to the humidifier coils at the back of the produce draws.
To draw a layman's conclusion, the ice maker is not calling for water and too much water is going into the humidifier coils and spilling over ?
Thanks so much in advance for any enlightenment.

The combo of a leak and no ice would make me look for the source of the leak as your problem. However, this a common IM to fail, so you could have a bad IM. But the leak issue should be addressed at some point and may be the actual problem.

First - I think you have the electronic IM called IM6 (on/off switch and green LED on side) so look for that green light, is it flashing? If this is that IM6 model you can also run it through the test described by GE.
GE IM diagnostic for this model.

As for the leak---
What is behind your crisper drawers is actually a water tank, just lots of coils of tubing so the water you get is prechilled by fridge air. I'm not sure off the top of my head if the IM water goes through it, it sometimes does. If you want to get in there and look for a leak you can pull it apart easily enough. Unless you are getting water in fridge or ice on back wall of freezer I'd start behind the unit first though.

This is your fridge area:

There's only a few common failure points possible, the tubing, the fill tube heater (frozen tube at rear wall), and any tubing/joints under and behind the machine.
Since you got the tubes out of the valves before it's the same action to remove any other similar fittings.
