As stated. It just runs and runs until manually turned off. No heat.

Sounds like it could be a blown thermal fuse. This typically happens when the dryer becomes overheated, possibly from a clogged and lint filter.

I cannot find a wiring diagram for this unit., so have to do some guessing.

Does the timer advance?
Does it do this in both timed dry and auto cycles?

On many units in auto mode the timer motor gets power through the heating coil when the coil is off.
So it may be just a blown heater coil if the unit advances in timed dry but not in auto.

Unplug the unit and one side of the heater.
Then measure it with a meter.
Most heaters are in the 8 to 12 ohm range.

Don't know why the Forum is not sending me notification emails of your posts? I just checked in and found these responses. I do have instant email notifications checked off.

The heating element was broken. I replaced it yesterday afternoon. I'm waiting on my wife's next dryer load for results.

And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause.

I cannot do much about notifications as I just volunteer here.

I totally agree w/ you. I hate when that happens. BTW, the dryer is heating again. 25 years strong!
