4 yr old Maytag, with freezer on the bottom.
Compressor is running constantly and warm to touch but evaporator never gets cold. Some ice builds up in one small area but rest of evaporator coils are not cold at all.

I unplugged and completely defrosted everything and cleaned condensor etc..
all fans are working. Rotating switch manually puts it into defrost mode etc...

Compressor toast ?

You have serious sealed system problems, probably terminal.
