I am actually unsure of the age - The exterior of the panel that is between the two doors is burning hot to the touch - the fridge seems to be working ok is this a sign of something about to go wrong and if so what? - Thanks

This is often a problem with the cooling of the condenser/compressor coils.

Check that the front kick plate and rear cover slots are clean.

Check that the condenser/compressor fan is running and that it's fan blades are clean.

Clean the condenser coils.

Looks like it uses a jelly roll condenser these are a pain to clean.

If possible blow them clean.
My fridge uses the same type.
I am lucky that my fridge is directly opposite an outside door.
So I remove the kick plate and rear cover and then roll the unit to the open door and blow itout with a compressor.
Most of the dust then goes outside.

I have been to;ld that a leaf blower also does a good job.
