I have a Maytag model # CWG3100 AAE serial # 2555 7737 CN wall gas oven.
I have been getting a fault code of F7 for a while which I believe relates to the ERC board.
Sometimes the oven works fine without any problems. When I get the fault code F7 , I can wait about ten minutes or so and start again, and most of the time I can finish the baking without getting another F7. If, after I get F7, I restart immediately without waiting, it produces F7 immediately. Recently, I have also been getting F3 as well which I believe is the temperature sensor. Can the two problems be related? Do I just replace both parts?

F7 code usually means a stuck key on the key pad. Some of the keys can be unstuck, but if high heat caused the pad to warp it might not be repairable.

  • Turn off power
  • Disconnect the key pad from the clock

    • If code goes away key pad is at fault
    • If it does not the EOC (electronic control board) is at fault
You can try giving the oven a hard reset by disconnecting the power for 20-30 minutes, then restoring the power.
If you do not feel comfortable diagnosing the problem yourself, I recommend having a tech come out to repair your appliance

F3 Is a bad temp sensor or connection replace sensor.
