My wife was cleaning stove top yesterday and a cup of water tipped over and fell onto center/middle burner. After she finished cleaning none of the igniters nor the light on the knobs were working. I thought that after it dried it would be OK, but today none are clicking.. Any suggestions as to what part would be needed, or is there a fuse anywhere.? I removed the top and exposed the burnner area and electrical components, however, nothing is blown up or obvious, any help would be great... There is power at the wall recepticle. I see there is Transformer, a Igniter Spark Module and and a spark switch wiring assy... Which one would cause this. We can use stove but have to light with match...

Hello, Start the troubleshooting from testing the transformer. Check for 120 VAC to the primary winding (two brown wires). If the reading is incorrect then the problem is outside the cooktop. If the reading is correct, check for 240 VAC between the red & brown wires and for 12 VAC between the red & white wires at the secondary windings plug. If the reading is incorrect, replace the transformer. If the reading is correct, replace the spark module. - The transformer Part number: WB27T10856

Thanks Gene, I will check it later today.. I figured out what I needed to check, but did not know what color wires to check for each reading.... Thanks a bunch..I will let you know how that works out,:o

Gene, I get 125 VAC on the incoming 2 brown wires, and 190.1 on the red/brown, and 2.2 on the red/wht.. Should the meter be set on ohms or AC? I used ohms I think..

You have to set your meter on AC and redo this test.
