My refrigerator's water dispenser has stopped working. My ice maker has not worked for years which is not as much of a concern to me unless it's easy to fix both. I have read a ton of forums on this but everyone elses dispenser at least makes noise when they push it, mine does not.
I have looked behind the fresh food drawer and the line does not look frozen or clogged. I have taken the filter out and it seems not clogged but I'm not sure how you can tell by just looking at it. The filter is about 6 months old. I have taken the cardboard of the back and all the lines seem clear and not clogged. It seems the problem is the water inlet valve by what I have read but how do I know this for sure? Does the fact that when the lever is pushed it doesn't make a sound mean it could be something else? Any help of how to move forward would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hi. Open the water and ice dispenser and check the control bracket pins holding the micro switches. The control bracket Part number: 2180226

This worked, thank you so much! it was the pins holding the switch in the control bracket. Quick question about icemaker not working. I pulled out the motor and it shows no resistence. Does it seem right that I need a new motor? Best regards, Andy Verleger Originally Posted by: Simon / APP Team Hi. HI. I'm glad you where able to fix the problem. Regarding the icemaker - the reading on the motor should be near 4400ohm. Below find the attached instructions. Thank you. Simon.
