:eek:The timer on my washer machine has become to the point of not turning off the washer so the door unlocks. What part could be causing this problem?

Gary,

You can manually unlock the door, there is a release pull string, located inside the dispenser assembly , down in the front part, you'll need to remove the dispenser cup assembly to get to it.

Once you get that done, you'll need to remove the control panel, and check the main printed circuit board, for a burnt R11 resistor. That is the door lock circuit and if it's damaged(burnt) the door lock will not operate, and sticks in the position when the resistor failed.

This is the most common problem, for your complaint, on that style unit. It would require a new door lock wax motor and control board.

Let us know what you find,

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
