I have a washer machine that everything works except no water will come when it is suppose to fill . I have cleaned the filters on the inlets. I took the "valve" that the hoses hook up to and took it apart. There are wires attached to the valve that open and close the water lines. I get a 12v reading on the wires when I turn the washer timer to any setting that requires water. So my question is, is the timer malfunctioning or do I need to replace the "valve" ?
If you have any other ideas on why the water isn't being allowed to fill the washer I would appreciate it.

Here are your parts

See the attachment for the wiring diagram

Try different temperature settings to see if all of them do not fill.
Would be strange that both sides of the valve would go out ate the same time.
Check that the water level switch V to P is closed.
