Greetings! I am new here, so please bear with me. :o My front loading washer does everything except drain. There is a strange noise coming from the machine at the end of the wash cycle, and intermittently during the final rinse cycle. I am pretty good at following directions, but I just don't know where to begin. Thank you in advance for any help you care to share with me.

Hi, Maria.

Please check the model number. The one you posted is not coming up.
But basically you need to check the drain hoses and the drain pump for the restrictions. If you open the toe panel you should see it.

Simon.

Hi Simon,

Thank you so much for responding!
You're right about the model number - I transposed a number. The correct number is 417.43042200. How do you open the toe panel? I tried to open it, but it seems there's a secret to it.

Thank you!
Maria

Hi.

To open the toe panel you need to remove two screws at the very bottom one in each corner.
Then check if the drain pump is energizing.
Check if the coin trap hose is blocked

Part number: 131784700
Part number: 131784700

Clean all the drain hoses.

Simon.

Hi Simon,

We did it! I couldn't believe the amount of stuff that was in the pipe, and there was even a peculiar piece of metal that was lodged in the pump. Kids. Gotta love 'em.

Thank you so much for walking me through this! You made it easy for me and probably saved me a few hundred dollars on a repairman - and that is a REAL blessing these days.

Many, many thanks,
Maria
