cook top works fine but clock and oven controls do not work, therefore cannot use oven. Thought it was a bad breaker, changed that out, still the same thing. Can anyone give any insight as to what may be the problem?

Sounds like the control board may be shot

When you say the clock does not work, is it totally dead?
Also are the lights on the unit working?
The oven light and the control/clock panel uses 120 volts so there is a possibility that you have lost Neutral from the power supply.

Odds are that you will not need it but is probable best to disassemble the panel before ordering just to be sure that it comes off without any damage.

I have a Kennmore gas range mod # 79078674400 cook top works fine. display is completely out it started a while back the, clock got very dim then it seemed like the oven kept cycling on and off today everthing is dead on the display the electric warmer drawer works no oven lights. I pulled the control display out Ive got power to the board it appears that their are 2 boards that are connected to each other does that mean I have to replace both and if so how much is this going to cost. Can you help? Thanks Jim

Jim

Please start your own thread using "Post New Topic" a different unit than the one in the original post will just confuse things.

Also I do not usually answer questions involving gas units.
