Sounds like a cable may have snapped, see Item 24 in Section 7.
You will probably have to pull the unit out from un der the cabinet to get at them.

Thanks much--that worked perfectly--part was about $14--my daughter just had the same thing happen to her identical make and model--she hired it done--over $200. Yikes and ka-ching. Thank you again.

When door was opened, heard a loud snap, and all the tension is gone from the hinge/spring. HELP.
