You didn't mention whether it runs first, then blows the fuse, or the fuse immediately blows. First check to see if the motor is "locked up". You will have to do this from underneath the machine, so make sure you turn it off at the breaker first.
Check for proper grounding at the electrical hook-up for the machine. If the connections are sound, you may want to power it down (unplug it or disconnect if it's direct-wired [COLOR="Red"][make sure you turn it off first at the breaker][/COLOR] and check both the hot (black) and the neutral (white) for continuity with ground (either the green wire or the dishwasher's metal chassis. Tell us what you find.
